Redkirk Warrior was dominant in the Gr.1 Newmarket at Flemington on Saturday, and made history being the first horse to win first up in 100 years. This was just his 3rd start in Australia, winning a Gr.3 on his 2nd, this was a huge effort to be winning over just 1200m, as he will be much better over 1600-200m. His next start will be on the 1st April in the Gr.1 Doncaster over 1600m. He has been very well trained by The Lindsay Park team, he was purchased privately by Alastair as a 3yr old after winning an Ascot Handicap.
